Career break & transition (November 2025 – Current)
After delivering a large in-house transformation programme, I chose to take a planned career break to focus on upskilling for a transition into a dedicated data and BI role.
During this period, I have been further developing my data analysis and BI technical skills and building a portfolio to showcase my capabilities.
Technical focus areas included Power BI, SQL, Python, Azure, ETL pipelines, and data modelling.
Technology Director, Charles Clinkard (October 2018 – October 2025)
Promoted to board-level to establish a strategic technology function integrating Data Science, Software Engineering, and IT Operations into the business's long-term roadmap. Focused on enabling data-led decision-making and building in-house capability for analytics and development.
Despite being a director, my role involved a significant amount of hands-on data work, which was responsible for driving the change in career path.
Relevant achievements:
- Oversaw the development of multiple in-house data-driven applications, including machine learning forecasting models.
